A slimline plastic case with a hinged lid containing equipment for 2 injections, plus instructions (but excluding prescribed medication).

Needle/syringe size also suitable for children 6+ years for intramuscular injection.

Small adult kit comprises:

• Plastic carry box with flip top lid (18.4 x 6.4 x 2.4cm)
• Vinyl label Emergency injection kit on lid
• 2 x 5x BD Emerald 2ml Syringes AND 2 x BD Eclipse 23G x 1 needles with Safeslip Technology.  Needle lengths suitable for upper arm or thigh
• Syringe capacity suitable for Hydrocortisone 100mg powder for Solution or Hydrocortisone Sodium Phosphate (1mL)
• 2x disposable Amp Snaps (for opening glass vial)
• Concertina-folded photo instructions for BOTH emergency injection preparations: Hydrocortisone 100mg powder for Solution AND hydrocortisone sodium phosphate, prepared with the ADSHG's lead endocrine nurse adviser

Vanishpoint^®retracting needle integrated safety syringes  (25G x 1) may be supplied in place of BD brand safety syringes/needle combo, depending on stock availability. Box colour may vary depending on availability with our suppliers.  

Expiry date on current syringe stocks: earliest January 2026 (Vanishpoint), or latest Oct 2029 (BD syringe/needle combo). We refresh our stocks regularly from our suppliers and encourage you to regularly check the syringes in your kits to ensure they are in date.   

Please note: Hydrocortisone 100mg powder for Solution for Injection or Infusion 1x2ml (vial with dilutent) (previously known as Solu-Cortef©) and hydrocortisone sodium phosphate drug preparations not included - prescription only from your GP.
